SONG A DAY FOR A MONTH
My friend, Alex Wand, created Song A Day for a Month: "a challenge to yourself - compose original songs every day for a month."
Everyone's approach to Song a Day is different. I write for no more than 45 min in the simplest and quickest way .... so “perfection” isn't even given an invitation to this dinner party. The creative process is my approach.
There's mandolin + violin + viola + hums + oo's + la's + lyrics and anything directly in front of me to make taps, dings, clicks, and clacks.
Some months I didn't finish and some years I missed. Most are under 1:30 and a lot of them don't even have a bridge. The community is the best part. We go through the hills and valleys of creating sounds together.
